Meet Ornella: Business Platform Specialist
My Journey as an intern: How it all started
Ornella joined Endava in 2024 through the Internship Program in our Buenos Aires office. The program gave her hands-on experience with real projects, strengthening her skills and industry knowledge.
After completing the internship, she seized the opportunity to continue as a Business Platform Specialist, kick-starting her professional journey and making an impact from day one.
How did you come to join Endava? Tell us about your career journey so far.
I had always enjoyed using computers and suspected I might like working with technology, so I decided to take programming courses. To my surprise, I loved it, which led me to enroll in a university to pursue a bachelor’s degree in information technology management.
I excelled in my studies, passing all my exams with outstanding results, but finding a job proved to be a challenge. I searched tirelessly for an entire year, dedicating several hours each day, yet I couldn’t find the right opportunity. Then, one day, while browsing my university’s job portal, I came across an internship opportunity at Endava. I applied and was invited to a group interview, where I had an amazing experience and immediately knew it was the right fit for me.
Endava gave me the chance to learn through hands-on experience, which, for me, turned out to be the most effective way to grow and develop my skills.
How did the mentorship you received as an intern shape your growth?
For the first three months, we had daily meetings with our mentors to address any questions and provide status updates. Each week, we were expected to complete a structured learning plan, studying independently but using those daily meetings to clarify anything we didn’t fully understand.
In the following three months, we transitioned to hands-on experience, applying everything we had learned. During this phase, we participated in all Agile ceremonies, including planning sessions, reviews, retrospectives, daily stand-ups and presentations. Our mentors actively guided us through these ceremonies and supported us in building our project.
Ultimately, this project truly solidified our understanding of the technology and Agile methodologies – knowledge that I now apply in my daily work. Thanks to my dedication and effort, I am now a full-time employee at Endava, working as a Salesforce Developer, the role I had been preparing for during the internship.

What advice would you give to future interns looking to follow a similar path?
For me, this internship was the gateway to my career, and it confirmed that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life. My experience at Endava was so rewarding that I would choose to go through it all over again.
The people at Endava are unlike any I’ve encountered in previous jobs. In my current project, I collaborate with colleagues from all over the world, and every single one of them is incredible. Each day, I look forward to turning on my PC and getting to work.
Beyond technical skills, I learned how to speak with confidence – something I now apply in all aspects of my life. And most importantly, I formed amazing friendships and built lasting memories with people who have truly made an impact on my journey.
