Our Client’s Goal

A major telecommunications company, with global presence in many countries and over 200 million customers, wanted to bring value to end users and merchants by aggregating and maintaining content from different service classes and service providers.
 

The Endava Approach

Our team was selected as a technical provider to shape and deliver a robust application that would become the center of our client’s digital commerce system, incorporating new security technologies and enabling the contents of the physical wallet to be transferred into the “virtual” wallet within the user’s mobile phone.

Leveraging technologies like Android Studio, JUnit, Gradle, Jenkins and SonarQube, our distributed agile team built a reliable and secure platform, and incorporated smartcards and NFC systems (Near-field-Communication), effectively enabling costumers to access the virtual wallet from their mobile devices, significantly enhancing service availability.

 

Business benefits for our client

With our client’s business goals in mind, we supported them in delivering their product vision and have successfully released the Android version of the application in 3 countries, with the iOS version to follow shortly. Mobile payments purchases are to exceed $700BN by 2018 and our client’s virtual wallet is leading the way in the EU market. The pioneering solution already offers non-NFC services like coupons, membership cards, and digital stamps, enabling an enhanced user experience and allowing our client to provide their customers with more personalised and diversified incentives.
